Overall Not Bad
I was slightly impressed by this razor. When you compare it to the bigger brands it honestly isn’t that bad. The smooth close shave makes the R240 worth it. It shaves really well, I must say. I just might switch to Schick, Its hard to find a good razor that doesn’t leave with razor bumps and burns after using it. Really Impressed.

Stick with your Hydro 3
Ive been using Schick razors for around 20 years. i started with the disposable green and grey 2 blade version and have tried various other makes and types but finally settled on the Hydro 3, which i have been using for a couple of years now.
The hydro 5 delivers a very smooth shave but lacks the feeling of control you get from the smaller head and thinner shaft of the hydro 3. I’m not sure what the vibrating function does – seems like a gimmick.
My 3 came with a nice cradle, which the razor fits into. this protect the blades when not in use – especially when travelling – nothing messed up razor blades like a tumble in the toiletry bag! the hydro 5 could use a cradle to protect the blades when not in use.
The replacement blades of the 3 are also more reasonably priced.
My verdict – stick with the Hydro 3 – its a far greater product.

Summary of Your Review
The Schlick Hydro 5 Power select is a smooth and close shave! For that clean smooth with no burns and rugged look shave. Schick Hydro changed my views on a good fresh feel

Nothing beats the Hydro 5!
Over the years I’ve used many razors, from disposable to electric and of all The Shick Hydro 5 is by far the best, no irritation after shaving, no razor burn just smooth skin which feels great, I give this product two thumbs up and don’t see myself using any other product.
