Tumi Morake Secures Netflix Gig

Mzansi we better respect Tumi Morake’s hustle! The award-winning comedienne, actress, and talk show host Tumi Morake is on a level of her own. She is the first African woman stand up comedienne to have a set at the upcoming Netflix Just For Laughs Festival. This acheivement deserves a full page in the Mzansihood history book.

Tumi Morake aka “slap tiger” will be the first African woman to have a Netflix special. She will be among 46 other comedians from the rest of Africa. Other South African comedians who will be participating are Loyiso Gola, Loyiso Madinga and Riaad Moosa . The episodes for the show will premiere in 2019.

‘Mama I made it,’ Morake tweeted in response to the announcement.
