We Stan For DJ Fresh!

DJ Fresh “Big Dawg” has been in the South African entertainment industry for over 30 years. Fresh ditched law studies to pursue Media studies and Journalism — imagine that iconic voice in the courtroom. I’d have probably hired him as my lawyer to force all radio stations to play my song. The Big Dawg has managed to stay relevant in the industry that is constantly looking for new talent.

Throughout DJ Fresh’s career, his love of house music has pushed boundaries and led to the release of numerous classic albums including the popular “Fresh House Flava” series— which have been highly instrumental in the consumption of House music throughout Mzansi.

Let’s admit it, juggling television and radio is not pap and vleis — Fresh’s voice and aura fits perfectly for both media platforms. Fresh has also been a lead influence on launching some of SA’s household DJs such as Cleo, Sbu, Euphonic, Monde, China,  Fingers and many more.

What a gentleman! Let’s put fame aside — we all can make an impact where we are.
