Of course, it’s impressive to create things on your own. However, in most cases to achieve the audacious goals you need a mentor. Asking for someone to guide you doesn’t guarantee instant success or an easy way out. It means you’ll grind hard knowing that there’s someone with experience that will point you in the right direction.
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin
Let’s face it, gents, nowadays it’s hard to focus on your priorities. There are so many distractions and things that “seem” to be more important. For example, social media is full of the so-called hustlers that appear to be progressing on life but in reality, they don’t. If you have identified an individual as your possible mentor, please do your homework. Healthy stalking is acceptable — it will prepare you to ask the right questions and not waste time.
Real talk, all your mates will say what they think you want to hear. Connect with someone who’s opinion matters to you. If you’re a teachable person and likes to be challenged — getting a mentor will make you ahead of the game.
Do you think mentors are still relevant in today’s world?
