Who Deserve Your “X”?

Amongst cool things, voting isn’t one of them for the millennials. In the 2014 election year, only 33% of eligible youth voted. The “cool kids” don’t consider themselves “politically engaged and active”. Levi’s® campaign is encouraging young people to voice out their challenges by voting. How impactful is your “X”? Perhaps (more than your “ex” partner) more than complaining on social media about poor service delivery. 

If you perceive politics as irrelevant perhaps you should ask yourself, who’s going to fix that pothole in your area? Or this one, who will solve the issue of unemployment or free education?    Perhaps nothing is going to change. Maybe we’ll have another corrupt men and women in power who misuse state resources. That ‘X’ is your way of saying “I’m putting you into power and trusting you will make a difference”. It is your RIGHT, go exercise it!

Tomorrow, 8th May 2019 between 7am and 9pm, more than 26m South Africans will have the opportunity o show off their expertise in this area once again as the country heads to the polls in its fifth democratic general election. The good news is, you can vote for any party you dig.
