HIS REFLECTIONS ON HIS RUGBY CAREER
“I’m blessed to have had a long and prosperous career with the Springboks and the Sharks, and there were many special moments I’m extremely proud of,” he says of his rugby history.
“If I had to pick a few highlights, they’d include playing my 159th game in 2019 against the Lions in Joburg, when I became the most-capped South African player ever in the competition. To play for that long and consistently… I took a moment to take it all in, the gravity of my achievement, the barriers I’d broken and how I’d paved the way for future rugby stars.”
