A step-by-step guide to a successful hustle

We all addicted to the “overnight success” stories or the “30 under 30” lists for inspiration. The self-help books are adding salt to the wound – there’s always a new routine that promises a “new you”. We barely take time to breathe or give ourselves enough credit for our efforts. Have you noticed that almost everyone is a CEO on their LinkedIn profiles?

It’s the hustling pandemic!

Before you jump on the bandwagon perhaps you need to read the step-by-step guide to a successful hustle.

Abort the mission, I repeat, abort the mission!

The worst thing you can do right now is to quit your job (especially in the middle of a pandemic) to start your “own thing”. As cool as it sounds, you can’t build anything of value without putting skin the game. It makes no sense to ditch a salary and go hustle for a capital to start a business.

Bro, as tempting as it is to be your own boss, don’t quit your 9-5 job to pursue a music career. How are you going to afford the studio sessions?

I’m sure all of us know a dude that left a cushy corporate job to start his own thing. Not all of them end up in that “30 under 30” lists.

Networking is key

The best way to network is through a 9-5 job. The guy that sits opposite you in the office probably knows a guy that can create a website for you at a cheaper price. Instead of attending boring networking seminars – how about you start selling your skills where you are.

There’s nothing fun than making an extra cash by renting your skill(s) while you still have a job. The creative juices flow without you worrying about your next meal.

Before you waste money maybe start looking around, your hustling partner could be in your circle.

It’s not a legit hustle until it pays your bills

Let’s say you’ve already made a mistake of being a full-time hustler without a sound plan B. if it’s more than six months without generating an income, maybe it’s time you update your resume. There’s no shame in starting over.

I agree with you. We can quit our jobs. Rather use that job to build your other hustle financially, till the new hustle starts paying off more than your job. We don’t know how long the pandemic will last. Let us be grateful for our jobs and keep pushing. #manbox

I wanna thank you gents for sharing the information, it is really useful to someone who wanna build himself & thank you once again. Well for me this pandemic taught me to hustle more because life is too short just reflect to the people we lost. My word is to encourage everyone to hustle hard bros & another thing try to create different streams of income because it’s good when it comes side by side.
