AJ Snetler is Manbox Man Crush Monday

AJ Snetler is a 29 year old Mixologist at Radisson Blu Granger Bay and is also involved in the bars throughout the Radisson Hotel Group. AJ has been a bartender for about 9 years and is currently a Brand Ambassador for Percy Nobleman SA. Other than work, AJ is a huge lover of the Harley Davidson brand, especially his own bike.

How do you introduce yourself?

I would definitely introduce myself a very passionate, spontaneous person, I’m very rebellious, haha, but above all else I’m a family man.

What inspires you to chase your dreams?

We only have one, and it’s very short. Time fly’s when you’re having fun, so we have to make the most of every day and every opportunity that we have. I love the Bar and Hospitality industry, there are so many astonishingly creative and inspiring people out there. My fiancée is also a very big part of my chase..

Tell us about your collaboration with Percy Nobleman SA…

I was first introduced to them by a good friend and fellow biker, Alex, while they were looking for Brand Ambassadors. I really liked the products, and the rest is history. I am now one of five Brand Ambassadors in SA..

What wakes you up every morning besides your alarm?

To be honest I never really set an alarm, I generally wake up early thanks to my pup, Chuck Taylor. Sleeping in is cool every now and again, but there’s no point in sleeping through the best part of the day. No rest for the wicked, nor the ambitious.

What’s your winning formula?

Hard work, I even have it tattooed on my knuckles. Patience is a big of part it as well..

What’s next for you?

I recently started a new adventure with the Radisson Hotel Group, and I am currently based at the Radisson Blu in Granger Bay. We’re launching a new cocktail menu soon which is pretty exciting, but if you want to know what’s next, watch this space!

What’s your routine to stay looking fresh?

Whisky! Haha, I keep it fairly simple, strict hair, beard and skincare routine. Lots of water, and a relatively healthy diet. Quitting smoking has helped too.

What’s your number ONE grooming product?

BUY NOW 

Besides an abnormal amount of conditioner!? I love my Percy Nobleman Boar Bristle brush.

Is there such thing as a perfect guy?

We’re all individuals, with our own unique qualities, so I’ll say the closest thing to perfection is based purely on action. Be a gentleman, mind your manners, treat those around you with dignity and respect. Thanks Dad.

If we had to put you in BOX – what would you remain as besides a Mixologist?

Hmm, I’m a wild child, so most definitely my Harley Davidson. That and a whole lot of Rock n Roll!

Grand, grand, what do you think of Manbox?

I think Manbox is a really great initiative man! Connecting the Gents, making it fun and easy to get some of your favourite products, and it also takes away from that ‘Metro Man’ stigma. I don’t like labels at all. Well done gents! Aweh!
