Byron McKeith Is Manbox Man Crush Monday

Byron Steve McKeith is no stranger to the entertainment industry. He boasts with drama training at the prestigious University of Stellenboch, an impressive singing career  – having partaken in competitions such as SA’s Got Talent and Cape Town Has Talent. Byron is currently completing his international Performing Arts Diploma in North Link College. McKeith has worked as a radio presenter at MFM 92.6 for three years 2015 to 2018. Byron is currently focused on this theatre career, he has just recently completed Once On This Island the musical at Baxter can be seen at Artscape for upcoming productions this 2019.

How do you introduce yourself?

I’m Byron Steve McKeith (22 years old) vocalist, actor and presenter with a love for cooking, baking, the arts and creative world. In summary, a ‘Jack of all trades’ and surely the master of more than one!

What do you think makes you a BETTER MAN? 

I like to describe myself as a unique soul, created by God for a very special purpose, being able to feel comfortable in your own skin and making a small difference wherever you may go.

Why radio and music?

I like to think of myself as a media personality – this has always been my passion, both mediums are one of which I love. Doing radio has changed my life and has allowed me to see things in a different way. I had the opportunity to work with so many different people, with different cultures, backgrounds and languages. Yet this medium connects us all together which makes it so special. Music has always been a part of my life and I don’t think life would be the same without it. To me, music has a special power to bring people together.

What wakes you up every morning besides your alarm? 

I love this question! Knowing that I have received another day with new opportunities makes me want to start my day.

What’s your winning formula? 

God created you for a reason, He created you to stand out and not fit in. Live life to the fullest and enjoy every minute of it, you only get to do it once.

What’s next for you? 

I’m very excited about the next few months of 2019. I will be working in theatre in Cape Town – I know I have the opportunity to do what I love all day every day. I’ll also be releasing Culo’s music video later this year. In the meantime, you can listen to it on all social media music platforms.

What’s your routine to stay fresh? 

A healthy balanced diet, sleep, lots of water and try to workout five times a week. I also enjoy lots of dancing when I get time. In terms of grooming and staying fresh, I like to keep things simple. I love a hot shower with a refreshing shower gel it always does the trick! Taking care of my face is my daily routine and is where I like to take my time. I make use of a daily face wash and moisturiser and would do the full routine on a weekly basis, which consists of a “face wash”, “neem face scrub” and “neem face mask”. Along with that, I make use of fresh Aloe Vera and rosewater for an extra boost when needed.

What’s your number ONE grooming product? 

I personally love using a rosewater and would advise everyone to get some. it is a natural product with multiple uses, you can use it as a cleanser, toner and even a moisturiser. All this and more for affordable price! This leaves your skin smooth, oil-free and fresh all day long.

Grand, grand what do you think Manbox is? 

I like the idea of males taking extra care of themselves. It’s always been known for the female populations to groom and take care of their skin. I do however feel things are changing faster than we think. It is these types of initiatives that allow society to be OK with both sexes taking care of themselves and allowing people to be just who ort to be! I salute Manbox for the great work they are doing and looking forward to future collaborations.
