Ngoni Mauye Is Manbox Man Crush Monday

Ngoni Mauye is a young freelance photographer and videographer born in Zimbabwe but moved to Cape Town at a very young age.

Ngoni is contracted by Big Sky productions, working for their sub company called School Sports Live.  Every year Ngoni shoots at the CPT Sneaker Exchange and at the CPT ivy son Tour. Recently started a recording company called Digital Money Records. Also started an online channel called Vivid Visions with a friend – it’s a platform to get personal with who’s who in the entertainment industry.

How do you introduce yourself?

I am a young African business man in the making.

Do you think any dude with a camera can be a photographer?

Any dude with a camera can take pictures but cannot be a photographer. It takes passion and a creative eye to be a photographer. You need to love and enjoy what you doing if you not enjoying it and if it doesn’t excite you then you just taking pictures but can’t be given the title photographer.

What wakes up every morning besides your alarm?

The thought that I have an opportunity to learn something new, do something which brings me closer to my dreams and potentially meet new people who could change my life for the good.

What’s your winning formula?

Supera Moras, which means to never ever give up no matter what happens.

What’s next for you?

Improve my skills and make movies that can change peoples lives and see life from a different perspective.

What’s your routine to stay looking fresh?

Always smell good and look after my skin. Shower twice a day.

What’s your number ONE grooming product?

 Don’t have any facial hair. So I invest more on my skin – Vaseline Men Face Wash Spot Control is my number ONE.

Is there such thing as a perfect guy?

No, all men are different and the idea of a perfect guy is different to each person, everyone is perfect in their own way.

If we had to put you in BOX – what would you remain as besides a Photographer?

I would remain as a person who does not settle for mediocrity. Career wise I would be an IT technician.

Grand, grand, what do you think is Manbox?
