The real strength is not measured by the number of fast cars and partners you have. Perhaps it used to be or seemed like it was. As the times have changed, the small acts of kindness and sympathy hold more effect. That is a real strength.
Apologising
The worst thing you can do to a boy after a fight is to ask him to apologise. The words “I’m sorry” could mean that he is defeated. The purest strength lies in acknowledging your faults and making amends. As a dude, you have more strength than saying “please forgive me” than “you made me do it”.
Listening
These days it’s not about the longest caption or an hour phone call. A sympathetic ear and a short response like “I don’t get what you’re going through but I’m here for you”. That’s all it takes to build that connection. As Dr Brene Brown suggests, everyone is seeking for a connection — “Do you see me?” “Do I matter”
I Need Help
Guys would do anything together but none of would have the courage to ask for help to the other. Isn’t that strange? Asking for help is becoming one of the cutest traits a man of ‘strength’ can express. Men are the one that commits suicide more than the women — no one wants to be perceived as a winkling.
What other signs of strength did we leave out?
