Trevor Noah’s Philosophy On Success & Hard Work

Hard work takes trial and error and you may fail many times before achieving success. Don’t get it twisted bro, it only takes hard work and a dose of patience to get to the top. I’m not referring to getting a “shout-out” from Black Coffee or being tagged on social media by Queen B. I’m talking about showing up and putting skin in the game. That’s the winning formula right there.

The internet has made us forget that behind every “overnight” success there is an untold story of sacrifices and hard work. On the social media streets, everyone sells their hustle as a no-sweat game. From the outside, it seems easy to jump on stage and tell jokes, right? We hardly see the unsexy process of bringing an idea to life.

No cap bro, the glitz and glam on Instagram (most times) is nothing but show. Perhaps the reason you’re indecisive about your goals is because you expect to be “at the right place, at the right time”. The invite to the right place comes from years of nothing but hard work. We all have our own opinion of what it takes to be successful, but it only takes hard work and a dose of patience to get to the top.

The good news is, everyone has the ability to work hard. There is never any short cut to success, but hard work complimented with the desire to achieve, determination, and always being motivated to get after your goal, it makes success become bigger.

Trevor Noah might seem to have come from nowhere; but his rise has been the result of many years of hard work, dedication and self-belief, overcoming considerable hardships that may have dissuaded others from pursuing a career in comedy.

Bro, what’s your philosophy on success and hard work?

Absolutely eye-opening. Can’t be said enough!

Too often we look for the short-cuts or quick routes to success but quickly find, it boils down to putting in the time day in and day out. Success is cultivated in the lab..its the relentless pursuit of your dream and sticking by it no matter what!

    Such a great read

I love his statement “hard work can never be separated from success.” This is profound and very true. No sweat no gain. I learnt this when l launched my skincare brand this year. You need to put in the work.
