How To Save Money Over The Festive Season

Living a WOW life with a LOL budget is never a wise decision. Of course, there are far more important things to save money for besides the festive. Let’s say you want to turn up but still have some for Jan-worry January. Is this possible? The impulsive nature and festive spirit combined can be a difficult demon to overcome.

There is one thing will all know about “gaup”— it’s just never enough. One minute it’s there and the next there is a zero missing. Planning and budgeting for the “jol” isn’t a common practice. The budget is not solid until you have added the fun times too. Turn-up cost more than the electricity bill and fuel allowance combined — especially if the strategy is to carry the credit card to finance the whole night.

These are the tips we came up with to save you a massive headache before and after the festive season.

• Carry cash instead of a credit card. If  the cash runs out then just know it’s game over
• Go with your mates and all contribute instead of taking solo trips
• Have a limit — that number will make you spend wisely
• The jol budget should be done almost 4 months before the festive
