Living Your Childhood Dream

What was your childhood dream(s)? As a kid, you want to be almost everything that’s cool to your eyes. Nothing seems impossible at all. Before the world told you otherwise, some of us thought they’d grow wings and fly. There’s probably 1% fortunate individuals in the entire world that are living their wildest childhood dreams.

 We have seen actors confessing of that special moment, perhaps winning an Oscar or acting along with a legendary actor — “I have worked so damn hard for this moment”. We picked a couple of South African icons that are currently living their wildest childhood dreams.

Trevor Noah is the fourth paid comedian in the world and the host of The Daily Show. That wasn’t his wildest dream though — growing up in the township, Noah wanted to have an indoor toilet. That seemed like a luxury to him at the time. Uhm, well now he owns two houses in the United States of America.

Riky Rick

Riky has won numerous awards, sold-out concerts, performed around the world  — the list is endless. This moment with Tommy Hilfiger is super special for him. Riky shared on Instagram that this has been a dream for him for 21 years. Imagine that bro!

Black Coffee

Black Coffee is one of the best DJs in the world. Coffee’s childhood dream of playing music on big stages and collaborating with icons is a reality. I bet some people couldn’t see it happening at the time “have you seen any DJ from Africa doing it?”
