The Mzansi stars that are now living their dreams in global stages had to face rejections more than once in their careers. Maybe some of them still get the NOs but we only have the luxury of seeing only the ‘glitz and glam’.
These are the gents that are making boss moves in Hollywood:
Black Coffe is one of the best DJs in the world. In 2015, he won the “Breakthrough DJ of the Year” award at the DJ Awards in Ibiza. Black Coffee has collaborated with the biggest stars in the music industry such as Usher, Alicia Keys, Drake, Davit Guetta and many more.
Who doesn’t know the son of Patricia? Trevor Noah is one of best recent Mzansi’s exports to Hollywood. Trevor is one of the most paid comedians in the world and the host of The Daily Show. He has a New York Times bestseller memoir under his name and the most sold comedy shows.
Laduma just showcased his latest fashion label Maxhosa in New York. In 2015, Laduma won the Vogue Italia Scouting for Africa prize to showcase his collections at the Palazzo Morando Show in Milan, Italy. Maxhiosa’s popularity soared in April this year when Beyoncé blogged in praise of one of his garments after seeing it displayed at an exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York.
