Men we know how stressful and intimidating this side of the year can be for you! So, we thought to make it a little easier for you when finding a gift for the women in your lives be it a new girlfriend, your sister or your mother, we’re got you covered! We also have a little something for you at the end of this article.
Here are some general tips on how to gift the women in your life:
It’s okay to ask for help:
Gift shopping is so tough but you don’t need to do it alone. Of course, you could do the simplest thing and ask her what she’d like, but if you want it to be a surprise rather reach out to her close friends for a second opinion instead. Remember asking for help doesn’t make the gift less special in fact it shows you how much more you care.
It’s not all about how much you spend:
If you had to give most women the choice between an expensive gift or a thoughtful gift they would probably go for the latter. Of course, the quality isn’t mutually exclusive, but our point is that it’s the thought that counts. You can spend a month’s salary on something impersonal and not get the reaction you want or you could take time to consider your options and make it unique that could be a gift she’d never forget.
Experiences make the best gifts:
This gives you an opportunity to create lasting memories, fulfil a long-held ambition or discover a brand-new hobby. When you think about it spending quality time together is most important.
Why wait for a special occasion?
Men there is one thing you must know – Women love surprises and sometimes the best gifts are the ones we don’t expect. Don’t wait, rather give more often because practice makes perfect 😉
So, let’s get down to the nitty gritty stuff –
Gifts for Mom
This could be a fun outing with you and your mom so you can spend some nice quality time together because there isn’t a truer love then one between mother and son. We’re talking wine farm visit or a high tea experience. If you’d prefer gifting her something else – skincare is always a good idea.
Gifts for wives/girlfriends
This is probably one of the highly anticipated gifts of the year. This is the gift you spend most time thinking about so why not make it romantic with a little overnight break for just the two of you. A little remote eco-cabin for the two of you with a hot tub – if that doesn’t say romance I don’t know what does.
Otherwise another fan favourite would be jewellery because diamonds are a girl’s best friend. We’re kidding – you don’t have to get her diamonds but a beautiful necklace, ring or bracelet is something she’ll treasure forever and wear your gift as a token of your undying love and affection.

Competition terms & conditions:
The competition ends at midnight on the 13th of December and the lucky draw will take place on 14th of December. One friend will win R1000 takealot voucher and one member will win a R1000 takealot voucher. The friend and member do not need to be connected in any way – both draws are at random. Very informative
Believing in Santa and having the Christmas spirit goes a long way in the Festive season. Family is important during this time. Kids need to be credited or rewarded for their good work throughout the season and giving them gifts makes them feel appreciated. Getting her a gift is quite easy because she doesn’t really care how much you spent on it, it’s the thought that counts really. Whether it’s a nice novel 📚a box of chocolates 🍫 or taking her for a spa treat 💆she would cry as if I bought her a brand new car 😂😁.
I consider myself lucky to have her in my life, she deserves to be spoilt rotten this festive season because she is a super mom to our son who has special needs.
I am planning a lunch date in a balloon for both of them to celebrate life and her birthday ofcourse (Team Sagittarius ♐)🎈🎂yes I know she is going to cry ♥😍.

I don’t know if this applies to just me but the tradition of gift-giving for Christmas is not that common among Black households. Kids mostly receive new clothes during the lead up to the festive season but these are saved to be worn for the first time around Christmas 😊
