Caleb Felix Is Manbox Man Crush Monday

Caleb Felix is a loud and proud brown ‘queer’ man born and bred in Cape Town. Felix is an upcoming actor who just completed the second year of his studies at the University of Stellenbosch in the performing arts. He’s also a model and as singer passionate about advocating for inclusivity in the entertainment media industry.

How do you introduce yourself?

I’m an artist. Caleb Felix is my name.

What do you think makes you a “better man”? 

Trying my utmost best to be aware of social issues, acknowledging the privilege I have as a man and being sensitive to those around me, those in my society.

How did you become a model, actor and singer?

I like to think I’ve been an actor and singer my entire life now – I’ve always been on stage performing. That led me to study the arts and becoming these things. Due to this interest that I’ve always ad in entertainment, modelling came along organically. I realised that modelling could be a stepping stone and open a few doors for me to enter into this industry that I wanted to be in.

What are your career highlights?

I’ve got two career highlights of this year that I’ll cherish. The one has to do with my career as an actor and the other as a model. As an actor, it has to be when the production that I’m in (Lycra en Petticoats) won a spot at the 2020 Woordfees national festival that takes place next year March in Stellenbosch. For modelling, it has to be me booking first worldwide campaign with Swatch where I was featured lead for their Big Bold campaign. My face was on so many billboards all over the world (Paris, New York, Milan, Amsterdam, you name it). It was crazy being sent tons of photos and videos from people in different cities spotting my work.

What’s your winning formula?

I haven’t yet figured out my winning formula. I’m a young 20-year-old boy who’s still figuring this “life” thing out.

What are your career highlights?

What’s your next move? 

Completing my degree (I graduate next year so I’m counting down the days already), booking a TV show, ultimately being booked and busy.
