It’s day 20 of national lockdown.
The original goal of surviving 21 days (and emerging as a better man) has been moved.
A lot of us have been left feeling uncertain and overwhelmed … and that’s okay, bro.
This is the first time that out generations have experienced anything like this – on a global scale.
In today’s instalment of ‘How to Thrive in a 21-Day Lockdown, and Emerge and Better Man‘, I want to throw out some ‘extended lockdown’ encouragements.[Side note: The Manbox crew has decided to change the now obsolete title of this series, so please send in your suggestions.]
Here are THREE (obvious but important) ways to help you make it through this extended lockdown, even better than you went into it.
#1 Think happy thoughts
Remember that, no matter how rough things may seem at this particular moment, it won’t last.
As the saying goes, “Tough times don’t last, tough people do”.
But you don’t have to be tough, bro … and you don’t have to fake it to make it.
Devoting regular time and attention to all that is good in your life and the world, is amazing therapy.
The truth is, it could be a LOT worse than it is now:
We could be locked down in 1920 … with no mobile devices, no social media and no internet.
Think happy thoughts, bro!
#2 Make the most of the time
Do you want to look back on this time in a few months from now, and say ”If only…”?
“If only I had used that time to sort out my finances”.
“If only I had more wisely invested that time in advancing my life and my career”.
“If only I had spent all that extra time getting into shape”.
Not sure what to do?
#3 Become a Manbox Fitness Celeb
In case you missed it, Manbox is offering an awesome hamper valued at R500 to the person who posts the best at-home-no-with-fancy-
Do I need to remind you that physical activity improves your muscle strength and boosts your endurance.
You don’t have to create an awesome fitness video like Chris Naicker did, if you’re not interested in winning…
…but at least do yourself a huge favour, and follow along for a few minutes.
Your body and your future will thank you for it.
As a parting shot, my brothers, let me remind you that we are all in this together.
The Manbox crew are here for you.
Please reach out to us if there is any way that we can assist or encourage you.
Until then stay safe!
