Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, better known by his stage name Black Coffee, is an absolute machine. A DJ, record producer, singer and songwriter, this multi-talented man is not only one of South Africa’s foremost artists but is one of the best DJs in the world.
Frequently playing in Ibiza, party central of the world, this SA icon has worked with the likes of Diplo and Celeste.
Okay, so you get how talented he is – but did we mention that his style is amazing too? Black Coffee sports all sorts of super cool fits, from designer to more casual. He’s a streetwear icon. He’s even did a collaboration with extremely popular designer Virgil Abloh of luxury streetwear brand Off White, creating his Capsule line that includes some really cool pieces that subtly pay tribute to Africa.

I thought I just loved hip hop until I saw you play, well on his way to creating an African brand that will reach the world
Black Coffee is inspirational especially to us the Black community. He’s the true epitome of “the sky is the limit”, when he does his job: he makes sure that it’s well done. He’s one in a few artist who I believe opened international doors for South Africans and showed us that it’s possible.
Our very own international dj his very stylish and and so proud of him. Blackcoffee knows what to wear always and it suits him perfectly.
Game changer and is living proof that dreams are valid, we jut gotta push
No doubt Black Coffee is a rare breed. A true example that you can achieve anything in life if you out your mind onto what you love regardless of conditions or obstacles. Mr Maphumulo has achieved stardom status and keeps the South African flag flying high. Salute @realblackcoffee
Very humble and true to his self…🙏
I find Black Coffee to be the most influential style icon in South Africa let alone in the music industry, as a black South African he sure did come a long way and made a name for himself
Great attire for the Black Coffee
Nkosinathi is one of my favourite DJ’s and he displays his prowess with ease every second he’s behind the decks.
His sense of fashion crowns his personality and I respect him for all he is.
