Gents, Do We Really Need Make-up?

Let’s be real bro, make-up is a women’s territory. But nothing is stopping boys to wear make-up and be on ‘flick’ like girls. Young men from age 18 to mid 20’s are beginning to experiment with make-up. Are you wearing a tinted skin primer – or “BB cream” – on nights out and a brow styling gel to control your “bushy” eyebrows? There is definitely still a stigma around men’s make-up, but I think it’s becoming more normal now.

Manbox team came up with a list of common skin problems that makes men to opt in for make-up. If you need an excuse to wear make up tonight, here we go…

Acne

Men with bad acne prefer using concealer to hide their blemishes. If you can’t make it go away immediately, how about you hide it with make-up? Bro, women have been in this ‘make-up’ game while we were busy engaged in ego serving battles.

Oily skin

Oily skin really sucks hey? Imagine relying on ‘black and white’ filter to cover your oily skin in your Instagram posts. Just throw a powder in your face! A lot more men are wearing it, both gay and straight – it makes them feel a lot more comfortable and confident.

Did you know?

Ancient Egyptian males wore eyeliner, Romans used rouge, and the Elizabethans and Georgians applied face powder. There’s really nothing new under the sun except L’Oreal Men Expert Pure Pure Power Scrub. It’s not a ‘quick fix’ or ‘touch and go’ like make-up but it is a very effective exfoliator.
