Men feel comfortable dishing out insults to each other than compliments. This behaviour is totally accepted as a “guy thing” and most men would prefer receiving insults than compliments.

A woman will tell an entire stranger that her skirt is cute. Nothing awkward or weird about it. That energy is always reciprocated. Dudes on the other hand have to dumb down compliments or throw a shade before giving thumbs up. The only time you’d know if your jacket is “cool” is when one of your mates borrow it.
