Men Are Embracing Social Media

The internet is constantly changing the way we connect and communicate with each other. As smartphones aren’t just for phone calls and SMSes anymore. These gadgets can do so much more and we’re completely lost without them. Perhaps I’m a little bit exaggerating with that bold statement there but you know what I mean.

Social media is supposed to bring us together yet we’re more disconnected than ever! Most people (specifically Millenials) consider unsolicited calls from relatives and friends a little bit invasive. The socially accepted route is to politely ask for permission first. We prefer digital communication and recent research says a person checks their phone 150 times a day! Isn’t that crazy?

We haven’t done in-depth research on men versus women on social media but we have a solid experience of communicating with men on social media. Women tend to use social media to connect with others and share personal stories, while men are looking for content and use social media as a means of gathering information.

It used to be weird seeing a dude taking a selfie or even worse posting it on social media. Not anymore. The social media streets have accepted it.

Men also initiate a “group selfie”. It’s not that bad, right?
