REAL TALK: IT’S OVER. ACCEPT IT and MOVE ON.
Don’t we all wish that was easy? This is the kind of conversation your bruised ego doesn’t want to be part of. The pain cuts deep and you’d rather numb it with something — whatever it is as long it doesn’t involve tears. Getting over your ex always seems like a mission impossible. Even when you have untagged yourself in her Facebook posts or blocked her on WhatsApp — that doesn’t ‘unbreak’ your heart.
Let me call her for the last time
Bro, abort the mission. If you both agreed to end things and cut contact, you should respect that. Nothing is more of a nuisance than a dude that doesn’t want to accept break up. How do I know? I’ve been there and only realised when someone else did the same to me.
Friends, maybe?
Uhm, you can’t force a friendship after a break up even if you’re a victim (if there’s ever any). Forcing a friendship will make things worse. Are you going to expect her to tell you about her new crush? Dude, the best way is to remain civil when you bump into each other.
Why does she seem happy without me?
Oh, come on man. Why would you torture yourself by stalking her on social media? Perhaps it’s about time you pay attention to yourself for a change — go out and live a little. She could be happy for real or just doing it for Instagram — at least she’s making an effort to move on.
I remember this last time…
If she’s the only person you’re talking about maybe you should swallow your pride and ask for another chance. Otherwise, you’ll miss out while you’re stuck in the past. Breakups are part of life — pick yourself up and move on with your life!
