Can you believe we’re already five months into 2025? The year seems to be moving so quickly, and now is the perfect time to pause and check in with yourself.
At the beginning of the year, many of us made goals—some big, some small, but all important. Whether you promised yourself to start eating healthier, become more active, spend more time with family, or simply take better care of your mental health, May is a great time to ask: how am I doing with what I set out to achieve?
Maybe you’ve stayed consistent and you’re proud of your progress. That’s amazing—keep going! But maybe, life got busy, unexpected things came up, and your goals were pushed aside. That’s okay too. You’re human. What matters most is that you haven’t given up. It’s never too late to start again. Each new month brings a new opportunity to recommit to your journey. So be kind to yourself, reflect honestly, and adjust where needed. Growth doesn’t require perfection—it just needs consistency and care.
As we step into this new month, it’s also a time to slow down and acknowledge how hard you’ve been working. International Workers’ Day on the 1st of May is the perfect reminder to pause and rest. It’s not just a public holiday—it’s a moment to appreciate all that you do. Whether you’re a full-time professional, a stay-at-home parent, a student, a business owner, or wearing many hats at once, take some time for yourself. Relax, recharge, and allow yourself to enjoy the break. You deserve it.
Then, a little later in the month, comes Mother’s Day on the 12th of May—a special time to celebrate the moms, grandmothers, aunties, caregivers, and mother figures in our lives. It’s a gentle nudge to start planning your gift early. Don’t leave it to the last minute! Whether it’s something small and heartfelt or something big and beautiful, your thoughtfulness will go a long way. Need ideas? We’d love to hear your favourite Mother’s Day gift ideas. Share them with us—we might even feature them to inspire others!
May is a transitional month, a chance to breathe between seasons and reflect on where you are and where you’re headed. Let this be your reminder that you’re doing better than you think. Progress isn’t always loud or visible—it’s often in the quiet commitment to keep showing up for yourself, one step at a time.
Here’s to a mindful, motivating, and meaningful May. You’ve got this.

Thank you for constantly remind us, this is very important to consider as individual and your surroundings.
This year, I had to choose my mental health and resign with immediate effect from a very toxic company with a toxic boss. I am currently unemployed, however, I’d rather stress about finding employment than someone else who does not care about my mental health stress me.
