DJ Khaled on “Different Rules” for Men and Women in the Bedroom

In a notorious interview from 2015, DJ Khaled expressed his distaste for going down on women. Not only did he say he doesn’t like it, but that he simply won’t do it at all.

The justification for his refusal was pretty shocking and elicited an exasperated response from many on Twitter. According to him women should understand that they need to praise “the king”, and the way to do that seems to be performing oral sex.

Apparently the way that a man praises a woman is by “holding it down”, buying her clothes, housing her and making sure she’s fed (which are all basic human rights may we add, not to mention that women often play a role in facilitating these things when in a relationship). Khaled suggests that because a man does this, they shouldn’t have to reciprocate oral.

He goes on to say that it’s definitely not okay if a woman doesn’t want to go down on a man, articulating his belief in an insane double standard that doesn’t take into account a woman’s pleasure or even consent. He says, “There’s different rules for men. You gotta understand that we the king… There are some things that you guys might not wanna do. It gotta get done. I just can’t do what you want me to do.”

His belief that men are entitled to oral sex even if the woman doesn’t want to do it is pretty concerning to be honest.

As this Twitter user put it:

DJ Khaled received clapbacks from the likes of The Rock, Smashmouth and Evan Rachel Wood, who all said that he’s really missing out and is no king at all if he refuses to go down on his girl.

So guys, what do you think?

Do you agree that there are different rules for men and women in bed?
