No this is not a drill and no, it’s certainly not a prank. We are finally free from wearing masks!
Recently, our health minister Joe Phaahla quietly gazetted a notice that immediately removed any legal obligation to wear a face mask in South Africa.
This came in as a huge surprise for most South Africans because face masks have been a feature of South African life for more than TWO years. Then suddenly, they were gone.
We are certainly excited to not worry about wearing a mask at the gym or just to enter a mall or a restaurant (where we would actually have to remove the mask again to eat).
One thing is for sure, we will definitely miss wearing a mask as a cover-up when we don’t feel like being too social in public spaces😅
How are you feeling about this bro? What are your thoughts?
WANT TO GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR FACE MASK STASH?
Innovative suggestions for how to deal with masks you no longer need include:
- Clothing Patches
- Golfball and Dog-Eye Cleaning Wipes
- Hamster Hammocks, and Hammocks for Baby Bunnies.
We know that in reality, virtually all masks are most likely to end up in the dustbin and from there go to landfill sites, becoming part of the long-running problem of dealing with general waste.
There is, at least, ONE thing you can do to mitigate the potential harm that it may have on the environment: cut the rubber bands on both sides of a disposable mask before disposing of it.
That’s it from us, we are excited to see your full face bro!
So what are your thoughts gents? Let us know in the comments below if you are happy to be saying goodbye to face masks or not. We would like to see your thoughts😁

We are not really free, covid has not been eradicated, who knows what can happen tomorrow? Besides, masks are good for other things, in a dusty environment just to mention a few, if you have them, keep them for future!
Finally we are free but let’s not forget that COVID still exists and I’ll advise to wear our masks in packed places just to be safe!!

I used to use just a typical soap for my face but this page showed me that as a man I need to take care of my self and do skin routines. I love the compliments
I’m so excited, I actually feel free from wearing a mask.
I’m happy that I won’t be wearing a face mask when I ever I leave the house. And that would also mean that taking care of my face will be a priority and now that I BIC Flex 2 all should be great .
I wear spectacles so, when I have a mask on I fog up real quick. even though I am happy that wearing a mask is no longer a requirement, I will still wear it more especially indoors. We are in a winter and flu season so I want to keep myself safe.
So exited ,I always forget to wear 1 have to buy everytime when i was at shopping complex
I’m greatful because now I can get anywhere without being blocked because I use to forget puting mask on, most of the time.
