Bro, it’s Day-8 of lockdown! How are you doing?! [Drop us a comment and let us know … we care about you!]
In today’s installment of ‘How to Thrive in a 21-Day Lockdown, and Emerge and Better Man‘ we’re talking about ways to keep love alive during lockdown.
It must feel like torture for lovebirds that haven’t seen each other for 8 days … and then there’s knowing that you still have another 13 days to go!
Bro, there are many ways to kill a cat! [Um … why so violent?? This is supposed to be a love story, bro!]
Sure, there may be 50 ways to leave your lover […if you don’t know that song, you’re missing out!], but how many ways are there to stoke the fires of love in these challenging times of social isolation?
Well, the Manbox crew have come up with THREE ways for you to fan the flames of romance, and pour petrol on her passion. Follow these simple steps, and you’ll be sure to emerge on the other side of lockdown with a better relationship.
#1 Stay Connected
Communication is key!
Before lockdown you probably never needed to video call too often […you should hang your head in shame if you hardly ever texted her, bro!], because you often connected face-to-face … no pun intended.
But it has been 8 day now, bro!
It’s time to … ?? [ erm, what time is it? You can decide].. call her? Reconnect? Digital date?
But what is there to talk about?? Bro, you don’t need to talk much – just ask questions, and then shaddup and listen to her. Make her feel heard … understood … appreciated!
#2 Be her hero. Stay at home!
The best way to express selfless love right now is to stay at home, bro!
You can sneak out and surprise her with a visit but that’s irresponsible. Trust the wisdom of the old people on this one: “absence makes the heart grow fonder”. Time and distance apart will help you to like and appreciate each other more.
Bro, we had this chat yesterday ‘Forget Everything: This Is Your Life After Lockdown‘
#3 Reminisce together
This is a great time to relive the fun moments you had together as a couple. Send her a photo of the two of you [Dude! You should have taken more selfies!] or find a picture of a place you hung out together on Google, and say something like: ‘I’m glad I go here with you” or “this place just doesn’t look half as good when we’re not there together”.
Take time to reflect on the time you’ve spent together, and keep sending/ posting those #TBTs until you see each other again!
Okay, Manbox men, that’s all we have for you today.
Remember to share your thoughts with us in the comment section…
Tomorrow we’ll be talking… health and fitness – because admit it bro, things are getting a little lumpy around here.
