Farewell Captain…

It’s been a sad farewell for Siya Kholisi and the Western Province rugby squad.

However it is hello to his new team, the Sharks. He posted his announcement on social media after much speculation on his move to the sharks.

The Sharks confirmed the news via a press statement which said: “This is a historic day for the Sharks, as Kolisi joins our proud franchise as a South African national icon, having led our Springbok team to the top of the world rankings in 2019.

While his wife and family, are left in Cape Town for 10 months according Rachel Kolisi’s latest post. Being his number one supporter from day one Rachel wrote a very heart wrenching tribute to Siya and his Stormers career.

The Sharks CEO,  Eduard Coetzee, said: “We are delighted to welcome Siya and his family to the Cell C Sharks. We pride ourselves on being a family unit who support and treat each other unbelievably well and a player of Siya’s pedigree is a welcomed addition to the team.
