Self-Care Is Not Feminine

Self-care isn’t just about exfoliating and shaving regularly. It’s also about mental health and emotional vulnerability. Men are trapped in a “masculinity cage” that only allow them to be aggressive and behave tough. The society is progressing in most spheres yet the masculine stereotypes aren’t a thing of the past.

It’s crazy that in 2020 a dude has to lie about the amount of time he spends in front of the mirror. Or the hours he spends in the bathroom. self-care isn’t purely physical— it’s also about being in the right state of mind. The world needs better men who are brave enough to ask for help. Men who see no shame in trying things outside the masculine cage such as pedicures.

Of course, there is a  progressive number of women who prefer well-groomed men. Yet it’s still a risk for some men to express their feminine sides. Otherwise, they would be called names and perceived as “soft” by society. Few men would dare to straighten their eyelashes or put on makeup.

Bro, self-care is necessary. It has nothing to do with gender. Do you have a grooming routine? If not, click here to become a Manbox member.
