Legendary Musician Johnny Clegg Dies At 66

South African music legend Johnny Clegg died on Tuesday at his home in Johannesburg. Johnny, 66, had been battling pancreatic cancer since 2015. The whole world wishes he could have stayed with us a little longer. Clegg’s legacy will live on forever through his incredible music that united our nation in difficult times.

 Asimbonanga means ‘we have not seen him’ in Zulu, the song was one of the first to openly call for Mandela’s release. The song was released in 1987 and three years later Nelson Mandela was out of Robben Island.
