No this is not a drill and no, it’s certainly not a prank. We are finally free from wearing masks!
Recently, our health minister Joe Phaahla quietly gazetted a notice that immediately removed any legal obligation to wear a face mask in South Africa.
This came in as a huge surprise for most South Africans because face masks have been a feature of South African life for more than TWO years. Then suddenly, they were gone.
We are certainly excited to not worry about wearing a mask at the gym or just to enter a mall or a restaurant (where we would actually have to remove the mask again to eat).
One thing is for sure, we will definitely miss wearing a mask as a cover-up when we don’t feel like being too social in public spaces😅
How are you feeling about this bro? What are your thoughts?
WANT TO GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR FACE MASK STASH?
Innovative suggestions for how to deal with masks you no longer need include:
- Clothing Patches
- Golfball and Dog-Eye Cleaning Wipes
- Hamster Hammocks, and Hammocks for Baby Bunnies.
We know that in reality, virtually all masks are most likely to end up in the dustbin and from there go to landfill sites, becoming part of the long-running problem of dealing with general waste.
There is, at least, ONE thing you can do to mitigate the potential harm that it may have on the environment: cut the rubber bands on both sides of a disposable mask before disposing of it.
That’s it from us, we are excited to see your full face bro!
So what are your thoughts gents? Let us know in the comments below if you are happy to be saying goodbye to face masks or not. We would like to see your thoughts😁

I personally do not trust this mask free thing, I will continue wearing my mask for a little while until I become so sure about this whole thing.
The face mask article made my year literally, the suggestion to how to get rid of them left me feeling creative and to think I didn’t think of those ideas 💡
It’s been a long journey to get here and it was hard and heartbreaking because we’ve lost so many people but we are still thankful we survived and keep on moving forward
Thank you MANBOX
We must continue with face mask
I’m so excited, I actually feel free from wearing a mask.
I actually feel like it’s too early to unmask especially this winter. The weather conditions are favorable for covid. Especially in public transport or places it’s not safe at all. But then it’s up to you as an individual on how you take. Thank you manbox for giving me the platform to share my thoughts
Finally we are free from hiding our face behind the masks thing is we have to shave more often thanks to BIG FLEX 2 I will rock my new smooth face with dignity

what a relief to finally get rid of the masks – awesomeness!!!!
Loving being out and about without the face mask, however, we still need to be vigilant. Still maintaining social distance and avoiding large crowds.
So relieved to take the mask off, remember lot of crimes happened while perpetrators were wearing masks, let’s freely see each others faces
